Producer / Writer / Director: Shane Free

Shane Free, originally from York, PA, is a filmmaker who has been working in Hollywood, California for the past 15 years.  Shane has worked as an editor on many trailers for both movies and video games with companies including, Warner Brothers, Paramount Classics, MGM, Sony, New Line, Lions Gate, Ubisoft, EA, Warner Interactive and many others. He has won 3 Golden Trailer awards and 3 Telly awards for his work in this field.


Additionally Shane has directed numerous short films as well as a feature length documentary “Investigating the Afterlife” which is currently available on His latest short film “The Table” played film festivals around the country and will be released on a compilation DVD "World of Death" sometime in 2014.

Hex Hollow is a passion project Shane has been itching to make every since he heard the story of Rehmeyer’s Hollow when he was a child.





Co-Producer / Artist: Wes Blymire

Wes Blymire is the great great nephew of John Blymire. He was born and raised in York County where the murder took place. During a semester of college, he created artwork based off of old photos pertaining to the event. He loved the ominous quality of the pictures and enjoyed playing around with the supernatural side of the story. He recently graduated from Millersville University with an education degree in art. His focus is drawing and painting but his passion is film. When he caught news of the documentary, he immediately approached the producer about being involved. He jumped at the opportunity to create artwork for key events in the documentary.

Co-Producer: Sean Coxen

Sean Coxen is a college lecturer and occasional author who has published work in newspapers and magazines. He pursues a variety of interests, including the Rehmeyer murder and its subsidiary topics. He lives in Maryland.

Composer: Al Sgro

A Pennsylvania native, Al Sgro's first years in Hollywood were spent founding a non-profit theater company in Silverlake called The Son of Semele Ensemble (where he was twice nominated for LA Theater Ovation Awards) and helping to launch the now iconic Hotel Cafe music venue.


Over the years as musician, he has toured the world with acts including Gary Jules, Joe Purdy, Joshua Radin, Meiko, and Holly Conlan and shared bills with artists from Bob Dylan to Sara Bareilles.


Since 2009, he has been a composer on the popular ABC/TBS show, Cougar Town. As a producer, he has won a Latin Grammy Award, and songs to his credit have been featured on "Grey's Anatomy," "One Tree Hill," "90210," "LOST," "Ghost Whisperer," "The League," and the film "The Other Woman" starring Natalie Portman. Other music composition and production clients include MTV Networks, Olson Advertising, Lifetime TV, ABC's Happy Endings, Future Perfect Music, and Little Ear Music. He is also a partner in The Chalet, a music production and recording facility in Culver City.
